RPG and d20 dice roller tips
Use this 3D virtual dice roller for d20 checks, damage dice, and common RPG presets—with accurate steps for this site only.
Most fantasy tabletop checks need a d20 plus situational dice. This page explains practical workflows on this roller without inventing game-rule automation.
The tool shows faces and totals; it does not enforce character sheets, advantage rules, or publisher game mechanics.
d20 checks
Tap the d20 quick die or enter d20 / 1d20. Add a modifier with the control or notation such as 1d20+5 when your table uses a fixed bonus.
Fullscreen table mode helps when the group shares one screen so everyone can read the total.
Damage and multi-die rolls
Use 2d6, 2d6+3, 4d6, or similar expressions for damage and ability-style rolls. Each face is listed before the modifier and total.
Save campaign staples (for example 8d6 or 3d6+10) as presets so the next fight does not require retyping.
3D tray vs readable totals
When 3D is available, polyhedral dice animate in the tray; the announced total matches the secure random draw chosen before presentation.
If WebGL fails, keep rolling—the same engine still produces totals with a non-3D display so play is not blocked.
